CREATE-IMPACT

CREATE-IMPACT is a six-year national training program preparing researchers to co-develop climate-resilient, socially equitable housing and infrastructure with communities. Learning beyond the classroom

Graduate researchers and postdoctoral fellows combine interdisciplinary coursework and supervision with field intensives, community internships and academic exchanges. These experiences place technical methods in the context of real housing, health and infrastructure questions.

Academic and community researchers train together

Community researchers and practitioners participate alongside graduate trainees in building diagnostics, monitoring and assessment, while helping shape research questions, methods and useful outputs. Over six years, the program plans to train 70 graduate researchers and postdoctoral fellows alongside 38 community researchers.
